Shaniece graduated from Lake Shore Central High School in Gowanda, New York. In high school she was involved with National Honor Society and served as treasurer for both American Cultural Exploration club and tribal youth council.

"I chose Gannon because I could combine both of my majors together. It is also just far enough away from home."
