GANNON BASEBALL TO CLOSE
SEASON AGAINST HILLSDALE AT HOME
 
ERIE, Pa. – The Gannon University baseball team (7-33, 3-25) will close out the 2008 regular season with a pair of home doubleheaders against Hillsdale College (14-28, 7-17). The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) four-game series will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 4. The second twinbill will begin at noon the following day.
   
Sunday is also Senior Day. John Pichette (Horseheads, N.Y./Elmira-Notre Dame), Chris Miller (Franklin, Pa./Franklin) and Blake Nusbaum (Williamsville, N.Y./Sweet Home) will be honored for their service to the Gannon baseball team.

Jonathan Dziomba (Williamsville, N.Y./St. Joe’s Collegiate) leads the Golden Knights with a .338 batting average and .554 slugging percentage. The junior also tops Gannon in RBIs (33), triples (4), hits (47) and home runs (5).
   
Jesse Smith is batting .344 for Hillsdale this season. Nate Chucta is the Chargers’ RBI leader (30).
