GOLDEN KNIGHTS FALL TO
GRAND VALLEY STATE
 
ALLENDALE, Mich. – The Gannon University baseball team lost both games of a second Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) doubleheader against Grand Valley State University at Laker Baseball Field Sunday afternoon.
   
The Golden Knights fell 10-2 and 18-0, respectively.
   
Gannon’s Ryan Tann (Fairview, Pa./Cathedral Prep) went 2 for 3 in game one. Jim Travers (Erie, Pa./Cathedral Prep) produced two hits in four at-bats and recorded an RBI.
   
Kolten Hoffman (West Middlesex, Pa./West Middlesex) also produced an RBI in game one and hit a double.
   
Gannon is 4-16 overall and 0-8 in the GLIAC. Grand Valley State is 7-3 in conference play and 20-4 on the season.
   
The Golden Knights face rival Mercyhurst College at Mercyhurst Baseball Field on Wednesday, April 9. The conference doubleheader is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
