GANNON BASEBALL DROPS TWO AT
GRAND VALLEY STATE
 
ALLENDALE, Mich. – The Gannon University baseball team dropped a doubleheader against Grand Valley State University at Laker Baseball Field Saturday afternoon.
   
The Golden Knights lost its first Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) game 20-5, recording eight hits and five errors. The Lakers (17-4, 4-3) had 21 hits and three errors.
   
Gannon (4-14, 0-6) dropped game two 13-2, producing five hits and four errors. The Lakers had 13 hits.
   
Gannon’s Chris Miller (Franklin, Pa./Franklin) went 2 for 3 in game one and 3 for 3 with an RBI double in game two. Miller’s RBI scored Jim Travers (Erie, Pa./Cathedral Prep) in the fourth inning.
   
Jonathan Dziomba (Williamsville, N.Y./St. Joe’s Collegiate) led Gannon with two runs in game one.
   
The Golden Knights play another twinbill at Grand Valley State on Sunday, April 6 at noon.
