What You'll Be Doing

Spreadsheet Gannon University believes financing can make ideas become reality. If you want a career where you help implement ideas through investment and financial management, Gannon’s finance program can help you build the necessary foundation. As a finance major, you will develop an understanding of financing, investment, dividends, lending regulations, and financial products and services in preparation for a competitive line of work. Coupling your degree in finance with another minor or an area of specialization (such as asset management and information or technology management) that Gannon offers can help you become even more marketable.

Job opportunities in the field of finance will continue to increase due to the demands of global trade, the growth of complex financial instruments, and changing federal and state laws and regulations. Possible career opportunities include: financial manager, financial analyst, loan officer, credit analyst, property and real estate manager, underwriter, insurance agent and broker, and securities and financial services sales representative. Depending on career choice, starting salaries will vary from $25,000 to $50,000.
