Gannon University Helps Ease the Stress of Finals Week

Mid-Knight Pancake BreakfastPosted: December 13, 2013

Gannon University is hosting events on Dec. 15 to help students manage the stress that comes with preparing for finals week.

* Therapy Dogs come to the Nash Library

Students are welcome to visit dogs from Therapy Dogs United. Therapy dogs are proven to help reduce stress and lower blood pressure, while increasing responsiveness and providing comfort. Six dog owners have signed up various dog breeds to visit campus, including a black Labrador retriever and a Dalmatian. The event will begin at 7 p.m. in the lobby of the Nash Library,  619 Sassafras St. (Dogs may be moved to a designated room near the lobby depending upon the noise level and number of people.)

* Mid-Knight Pancake Breakfast

President Keith Taylor, Ph.D. invites Gannon students to the traditional Mid-Knight Pancake Breakfast the night before finals week. Faculty and staff will serve a delicious hot breakfast - free to all Gannon students. There will also be door-prize giveaways from 9:30 p.m. until "mid-knight" in the cafeteria, located in Waldron Campus Center on W. Seventh and Peach Streets under the arch.
