Gannon University Names Thomas Camillo Director of Undergraduate Admissions

Gannon University announced the appointment of Thomas Camillo as
director of undergraduate admissions, a position he has held on an
interim basis since July.
As director, Camillo will provide leadership in the development
and implementation of the University's recruiting strategies,
programs and services. As the director, he will supervise the work
of the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, which includes the
recruitment of first-year undergraduates, transfers, re-admitted
students and dual enrollment students.
Camillo has worked in undergraduate admissions for his entire
eight-year career at Gannon, an interval during which the
University has experienced a 21 percent growth in overall
undergraduate enrollment and a 92 percent growth in new transfer
Camillo also directly supported the high school dual enrollment
program, which has seen a 54 percent growth over the past two
years. He was also responsible for creative input, editing,
deadline management and budget awareness for the publications used
by undergraduate admissions.
Camillo graduated in 1999 from the University of Pittsburgh
where he received a bachelor's degree in communication. From the
time of his graduation until he came to Gannon, Camillo was a
broadcast journalist in Erie. He is currently pursuing a Master of
Arts degree at Gannon.
