Gannon University Announces 2013 Health Professions Pass Rate Successes

Students from Gannon's Morosky College of Health Professions and Sciences continue to achieve notable levels of success on standardized tests and certification examinations.

For the academic year that concluded in 2013 Gannon graduates had the following pass rates on their respective examinations and tests:

  • 98% on the Physician Assistant National Certification Exam (PANCE).

  • 95% on the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE) taken for the first time by graduates of the Doctor of Physical Therapy program. Three students had a perfect score or were within one point of a perfect score on the NPTE.

  • 93% pass rate on state board examinations for nursing. This result is the highest among graduates of universities in the region.

  • 90% on the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy Exam.

  • 100% on the National Certification Exam administered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. This is the 13th time in 14 years that graduates of the Radiological Sciences program have achieved a 100% pass rate.

  • 100% on the Entry-Level Certified Respiratory Therapist examination taken by graduates of the Respiratory Care program.

    The programs of the Morosky College of Health Professions and Sciences, which represents more than a third of the University's enrollment, have been a regional leader in the adoption of classroom technology that defines the way that health care is delivered. Graduates have assumed leadership positions in health care nationwide.
