Gannon University wishes to congratulate the members of The Gannon Knight, who received a first-place award in the annual American Scholastic Press Association contest.

Frank Garland, director of the journalism communications program and adviser to The Gannon Knight, said the staff was extremely happy to receive the positive news.

"The Knight was very pleased to be recognized for its work," Garland said. "All the credit goes to the staff, who do an excellent job."

The Gannon Knight is a student run paper that produces 12 issues per academic semester and covers campus news, features, arts and leisure, and sports.
