Gannon University’s Phi Eta Sigma and the Community Blood Bank will host a two-day blood drive at Gannon.
The drive will be held in the lobby of the Hammermill Center, 620 Peach St., from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18. Friday’s drive will be at the Bloodmobile, which will be parked in front of Gannon’s Zurn Science Center, 143 W. Seventh Street.
No appointment is needed for either day, and donors may walk in at their convenience.
A photo ID is required at the time of donation. In addition, donors should be at least 17 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds, be in general good health, and eat a good meal prior to donating. No tattoos or piercings from a tattoo parlor in the last 12 months.
All donors from both days will receive a free “Donors Rock” drawstring bag.
Donations made through the Community Blood Bank stay local. The Community Blood Bank is the only supplier of blood and blood products to the hospitals and patients in Erie, Elk, Potter, Warren, and McKean counties and is the preferred blood supplier in Chautauqua and Cattaraugus counties in Western New York.
