Gannon-Mercyhurst Football Game To Be Broadcast Live
Posted: October 8, 2012The Oct. 13 PSAC West football game between crosstown rivals Gannon University and Mercyhurst will be broadcast live.
Kickoff at Gannon University Field is scheduled for 12:05 p.m. Saturday. Fans unable to make it to Gannon Field will be able to watch the game locally on WFXP-TV (FOX 66), and throughout the region on ROOT SPORTS Pittsburgh.
Fans outside the FOX 66 and ROOT SPORTS Pittsburgh coverage area will be able to view the broadcast live online and free of charge via America One. Gannon University and the Department of Athletics have partnered with America One to provide free access to all fans. The day of the game, fans will be able to view the broadcast, free of charge, here.
WFXP-TV reaches approximately 225,000 area households over the air, as well as via cable systems and satellite systems such as DIRECTV and DISH Network.
ROOT SPORTS Pittsburgh provides coverage to the entire state of Pennsylvania with the exception of Philadelphia, the entire state of West Virginia and eight counties in the state of Ohio. ROOT SPORTS Pittsburgh is also included on most DIRECTV packages.
Gannon has defeated Mercyhurst in each of their last two meetings, including last season when the Knights rallied from a 13-3 halftime deficit to win 30-27.
