Gannon Student Awarded Scholarship

Gannon University student Emily E. Taft of Port Allegany, Pa.,is the recipient of the National Association for Campus Activities (NACA) Tese Caldarelli Memorial Scholarship for 2011.

Taft, a senior legal studies major at Gannon, was selected for the scholarship based on her academic achievement, leadership skills and abilities, leadership positions on campus and volunteer work. She is the daughter of Christine Kio and Robert Taft and is a graduate of Port Allegany Junior/Senior High School.

The NACA awards the scholarship to student leaders within the former NACA Great Lakes region, which includes Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia and western Pennsylvania. The scholarship can be used for educational or professional development.

Gannon University is a Catholic, Diocesan university offering nearly 100 undergraduate and graduate degree programs and doctoral programs in physical therapy and organizational learning and leadership.
