Gannon University to Host End of the Year Summer JAM Celebration

Eight students have been working at Gannon University through
the Summer JAM (Jobs and More) program for up to 180 hours this
summer. The program started at the end of June, with students
completing their summer employment on Friday, August 10. Erie-GAINS
(Erie-Gannon Alliances to Improve Neighborhood Sustainability)
coordinates this community connection, while six Gannon faculty and
staff members have been supervising the eight students.
This is the fifth year that Gannon has partnered with the Summer
JAM program, with 61 students completing their summer job at Gannon
since the program's inception. "We are committed to providing
real-world career opportunities for students through collaborative
community partnerships," said Erika Ramalho, Director of Community
and Government Relations at Gannon.
Gannon is hosting a Summer JAM Celebration for the students,
their families, supervisors and community representatives on
Friday, August 10 from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. in the Center for
Advanced Engineering 130 W. Eighth St.
