Gannon University Announces Christmas Eve Mass Time Change

Posted: December 23, 2017

Gannon University is delighted to welcome the many alumni, faculty, staff and families who come to celebrate Christmas Eve Mass in the Mary, Seat of Wisdom Chapel, 520 Peach St. The time of the Mass has been changed from 7 p.m. to 6 p.m. this year.
The Rev. Nicholas J. Rouch, vicar for education for the Catholic Diocese of Erie, will serve as celebrant, with the Rev. George Strohmeyer, senior chaplain at Gannon, and the Very Rev. Michael T. Kesicki, associate vice president for University Mission & Ministry at Gannon, assisting.

Gannon has celebrated Christmas Eve Mass for at least three decades, Kesicki said. The Mass is special in that it regularly attracts Gannon staff, faculty and students along with retirees and alumni and their families and friends.

"They appreciate reconnecting to Gannon," Kesicki said of the retirees and alumni. "It's a Gannon family celebration. It's a nice Christmas at home, so to speak."
