Gannon Hosts Leadership Conference for McDowell Honors Students

Posted: October 25, 2017

This Friday, close to one-hundred McDowell Honors students will be visiting Gannon University's campus for a leadership conference.  Gannon's Honors program is hosting the event in collaboration with the University's admissions team, who will be providing lunch and a tour of the campus.

The event will host Mike Batchelor, executive director of the Erie Community Foundation, as the keynote speaker who will be delivering a speech entitled:  Leadership: lessons learned and practical tips.

As a part of the leadership event, there will be breakout-sessions presented by Gannon University faculty. The breakout sessions will discuss topics such as diversity, group dynamics, conflict resolutions and entrepreneurial leadership.

"It's always exciting when honors students gather to learn and reflect upon how they want to hone their skills to be ethical, effective leaders, shared Ann Bomberger, director of Gannon University's Honors program. "I'm grateful to our students, faculty, and keynotes who are giving their time to help nurture the next generation of leaders."
