Gannon University Hosts MidKnight Pancake Breakfast For Students

Posted: April 28, 2017

Pancakes, bacon and eggs - oh my! In an effort to reduce stress during finals week, President Keith Taylor, Ph.D., and Gannon faculty and staff will be serving up pancakes and breakfast foods to hungry Gannon University students at the annual "MidKnight Pancake Breakfast," on April 30 from 9:30 p.m. until midnight.

The event, which is held at the cafeteria in the Waldron Campus Center and is free to all students, takes place every year the Sunday before finals week and is sponsored by the President's Office. There will also be door prizes for students, which will be raffled off throughout the night.

Kelsey Ghering, a senior English major and editor-in-chief of The Gannon Knight, the University's student- produced newspaper, said that she enjoys going to the pancake breakfasts because it's more than just a free meal.

"The pancake breakfast is one of the greatest Gannon traditions," she said. "It's worth waiting in line for carbs and eggs every year because everybody goes - it's like a family get together."
