Speaker on Mental Health Comes to Gannon University Saturday

David Romano will present "It Wasn't Supposed to Happen to Me," on Saturday, March 18 at 3 p.m. in the Yehl Room of Gannon University's Waldron Campus Center, 124 W. Seventh St.

Romano's presentation is sponsored by the Gannon University chapter of Active Minds, a national organization supporting mental health awareness and education for students.

The event will also include training, informational tables by Active Minds' community partners and therapy dogs. A reception will follow Romano's presentation.

Romano is a member of the Active Minds speakers bureau. Active Minds is a national organization with chapters at more than 400 colleges, universities and high schools. Each year, more than 12,000 students join Active Minds chapters.

The event is free and the public is welcome to attend.
