Gannon University Welcomes Prospective Students to Fall Open House

Posted: October 28, 2016

Gannon University will welcome hundreds of high school students, non-traditional students and their families to campus on Saturday, October 29 for the annual Fall Open House.

At Open House, prospective students get a first-hand look at Gannon's programs, campus and people. They will have the opportunity to meet Gannon students and talk with expert faculty who provide students with real-world experience and internships that prepare them to become professionals in their chosen fields.

Open House is an opportunity to learn about Gannon's undergraduate programs and small class sizes (a 13:1 student-to- faculty ratio). Prospective students and their parents can connect with representatives from student life, learning abroad and coaches from Gannon's 20 varsity sports and 10 club sports teams.

The last few years have seen the addition of several innovative academic programs. These include biochemistry, forensic science and the freshwater and marine biology program that is one of only 60 offered in the U.S. Other new programs include industrial engineering, performance for media and stage, supply chain management and theatre technologies and design. The growing healthcare sector of the economy has led to new programs in healthcare management, pre-health qualification and public health.

Prospective students and their parents can tour the exceptional learning environments that are home to these new programs, and the more than 100 Certificate, Bachelor's, Master's and Doctoral degree programs offered at Gannon's campuses in Erie and Ruskin, Florida.

Gannon University was built on Catholic Tradition that emphasizes affordability and access for all. Generous scholarships and financial aid packages ensure that a high-quality Catholic education is within the reach of all who desire it, and Open House is a perfect place to start.
