Gannon University Homecoming Reunion Weekend

Gannon University welcomes all media to campus this week for our
Homecoming Reunion Weekend events.
FRIDAY, SEPT. 30
Alumni Association Distinguished Alumni Dinner
6 p.m. | Yehl Alumni Room, Waldron Campus Center, 124 W. Seventh
Recognizing alumni who have made significant contributions to their
profession, their community and their church. All are invited to
this special celebration.
This year's honorees are: Almitra "Almi" (Clemente) Clerkin '85,
Elisabeth "Betsy" (Roeback)
Monsalve '70 VMC, Jay Alberstadt '76, Adam J. Susmarski, D.O. '05,
and receiving the Monsignor
Wilfrid J. Nash Principles of Christian Conduct Award, Sister Mary
Miller, OSB '67VMC.
SATURDAY, OCT. 1
9 a.m. | W. Sixth St. between Peach and Sassafras streets
Rain or shine, nothing can dampen the spirit at Gannon University's
Homecoming Parade. It's creativity and enthusiasm literally on parade. Please note: Due to a change in schedule, the parade will not begin at Gridley Park as it has in the recent past. Performances will take place in front of Old Main from 9 - 10 a.m.
Alumni Tailgate Lunch
10:30 a.m. | Recreation and Wellness Center, 130 W. Fourth
All alumni and families are invited to enjoy a tailgate lunch on
Basketball Court 1 at the Recreation and Wellness Center from 10:30
a.m. - noon. Tours of the facility will be available, as well as
games and activities for kids on Court 2.
Villa Maria College Tour
11:30 a.m. | Villa Maria Elementary School, 2551 W. Eighth
Walk down memory lane on the former Villa Maria College campus. VMC
alumnae are invited to tour their old campus.
Gannon vs. Mercyhurst Football
12 p.m. | McConnell Family Stadium, 430 Sassafras St.,
The Gannon Golden Knights enter the game with a 3-1 record while
Mercyhurst is 1-3, but records mean nothing when these backyard
rivals meet, and the festive atmosphere of a Homecoming game only
increases the excitement.
