Gannon University’s Bookstore Celebrates Release of NEW Harry Potter Book

Harry Potter, the world's favorite boy wizard is set to make splashy return to the scene after a nine-year absence, and the Gannon University Bookstore is set to welcome him back.  The bookstore will celebrate the release of  "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Parts One and Two," on Monday August 1 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.

The party will feature light refreshments, games for children and a special Muggle Wall where everyone can share their favorite memories of Harry Potter.

The book is author JK Rowling's script of the play, "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" which opens in London on July 30, the day before Harry's birthday, and is set nineteen years after the ending of the original series.

The bookstore in the A.J. Palumbo Academic Center at 724 Peach St. will have copies of the book in stock for Potter enthusiasts of all ages.  "Whether you are a mega-fan of Harry Potter or just a muggle, stop by and bring the kids for a great time at the bookstore," said Amber Cook, the bookstore's manager.
