Gannon University ROTC to Celebrate Open House

The cadre and cadets of the "Pride of PA" Battalion of the U.S. Army ROTC and its host institution, Gannon University, will be holding a celebration and open house on Wednesday, Sept. 2 from 1 - 1:30 p.m. for its new offices at the A.J. Palumbo Academic Center, 824 Peach Street.

The new facilities will receive a formal blessing with special remarks by Gannon University President Keith Taylor, Ph.D. Following the short ceremony, tours of the new facility and an open house will continue until 4 p.m.

The "Pride Of PA" Army Senior ROTC Battalion comprises ROTC units at Gannon University, Mercyhurst University and Penn State Erie -- The Behrend College, and was honored in 2012 with the General Douglas MacArthur Award for excellence by the U.S. Army's Cadet Command and the Gen. Douglas MacArthur Foundation.

As the host institution for the "Pride of PA" Battalion of the U.S. Army ROTC, Gannon University's program offers specialized leadership training through both course work and related activities.
