Student Newspaper Wins Awards

Gannon University's student newspaper, The Gannon Knight, won two Scholastic Newspaper Awards given by the American Scholastic Press Association.

One was a first-place award and the other was Most Outstanding University Newspaper for 2014-2015 for schools with enrollments of 2,500-plus. The ASPA's annual review and contest for scholastic newspapers, yearbooks and magazines compares student publications at colleges, universities and high schools around the nation.

The judges awarded The Knight 950 points out of a possible 1,000 based on six criteria:  content coverage; page design; general plan; art, advertising, illustrations; editing; and creativity.
