Gannon University Hosts College Fair
Posted: May 11, 2015Representatives of more than 75 colleges and universities will
converge on Gannon University for the Spring 2015 College Fair.
The free event, which will be held Tuesday, May 12 from 6:30-8
p.m. in Gannon's Hammermill Center, 620 Peach St., is called What's
Your Next Step?
Area high school students will have the opportunity to speak
with representatives of two-year, four-year and postgraduate
public and private colleges and universities from seven
states. The event allows college-bound students from the area to
survey a wide range of institutions in a short period of time.
Participating institutions will bring displays and materials to
help students navigate the array of choices facing rising high
school seniors and younger students who want to make their college
plans in advance.
Gannon University's undergraduate admissions department is
organizing the event. Tom Camillo, the department's director said,
"We are excited to be able to provide an opportunity for high
school students from across the region to engage with so many
colleges and universities. This is a great way to begin
conversations with post-secondary institutions and to help pave the
way for their college search process which will ultimately include
visits to these schools."
