Gannon University Students to Host September 11th, Candlelight Vigil

Posted: September 10, 2014

Gannon University's Students Behind our Troops organization will hold its annual September 11, 2001 Candlelight Vigil on Thursday September 11 at 8 p.m. on Friendship Green, adjacent to the Waldron Campus Center, 124 W. Seventh St.

The commemoration will consist of a brief ceremony, prayer and a moment of silence for all of those affected by the events that took place on that fateful day 13 years ago. Last year, approximately 70 students, faculty, and staff attended the half-hour ceremony. The public is welcome to share this time of remembrance with us.
