Gannon National Alumni Board Hits 100 Percent Support of University’s Annual Fund

Posted: July 23, 2014

Gannon University's Annual Fund for Academic Excellence reached a milestone this year with the unanimous support of all thirty-one members of Gannon's National Alumni Board.  This marked the first time that the giving to the Fund has had full participation by the board. Jim Ahearn, a 1961 alumnus and former Gannon Knight basketball star who now serves as a member of the Alumni board, said, "Reaching 100 percent board giving will be a shining example to all other alumni."

The board comprises 31 members from Pennsylvania, Georgia, Illinois, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, South Carolina and Virginia who work to promote alumni success; foster personal and professional networking; to communicate Gannon news, events, and priorities to the alumni body; to engage with the University, current and prospective students and to support the traditions and growth of Gannon University.

Gannon University alumni can be found in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and four U.S. territories, and in 56 nations around the world.

The Annual Fund supports scholarships, technology upgrades, student and faculty research, library resources, and many other projects and initiatives. For more information about the Annual Fund, contact Miranda Grom, director, at (814) 871-5368 or by email here.
