Biography

Dr. Lin Zhao joined the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at Gannon University in Fall 2007. Before joining Gannon, she was a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the University of Western Ontario, London, Ontario, Canada. From 2002 to 2006, she worked as a research/teaching assistant at the University of Western Ontario while she was pursuing her Ph.D. degree. Prior to that she was on the faculty of the School of Electrical Engineering at Shandong University, Jinan, China. Dr. Zhao's research areas of interests include control of electric drives, electrical machinery (design, modeling and control), wind energy (doubly-fed-induction-generator), electrohydrodynamics (EHD), and electrostatic levitation (thruster). Dr. Zhao is a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). She has more than 30 technical publications.
