Raised in St. Paul, Minnesota,I moved to Erie and Gannon 1965 to get my M.A. I taught at a local college for 20 years and returned to Gannon following a merger in 1989. Now that my two children are grown, my wife and I enjoy our five grandchildren, movies and cooking. During the winter, I am an off ice official for the Ontario Hockey League. I am easing myself into retirement over the next three years.
I have taught the two required freshman composition courses, all four of the sophomore literature courses, and my specialty is American literature of the 20th century.
I chaired the English department for 8 years.
I chaired the University's formal grievance committee for 10 years.
I served as interim Dean of the college for one year.
I am currently associate Dean in the college of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences
