An interest in psychology and human behavior led to an over 30-year career in mental health nursing. In addition to reading biographies and human interest articles, I enjoy movies, walking at Presque Isle, and spending time with friends and family. My favorite vacation spot is Walt Disney World. My favorite memories are of my two children splashing in the pool, riding roller coasters, dining, shopping and generally enjoying themselves in the Disney Theme Parks.
Now, as a psychiatric nurse practitioner, my interest in psychology is put to clinical use daily as I work with persons who struggle with mental illness and assist them to live productive and fulfilling lives. As an educator, I am able to share this passion for working with patients with students who will become nurses and care for persons body, mind and soul.
