Hey thanks for checking out the faculty profiles. I developed a love and respect for music, film and television at an early age so the study of electronice media was a natural fit for me. I have been a musician since first joining an orchestra in fourth grade. I eventually found my voice as a bass player mostly in jazz ensembles but have performed with blues bands, eclectic rock bands and free improv musical performance ensembles. My early interest in sound led to studying video production and editing in college. Before joining academia, I worked for an ad agency, production house, broadcast station and a cable access studio. I have found a rewarding balance between working in the electronic arts by day and performing music on weekends.
When not working or performing, I have been known to bicycle, golf, garden and watch a lot of movies. My wife, two sons and I find Erie to be the perfect blend of large city opportunity at a small town pace.
