Lisa Sowle Cahill is J. Donald Monan, S.J., Professor at Boston
College. She earned her B.A. at Santa Clara University, and
her Ph.D. at the University of Chicago. She is past president
of the Catholic Theological Society of America, and the Society of
Christian Ethics; and a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and
Sciences.
Cahill's books include 'Blessed Are the Peacemakers': Just
War Theory, Pacifism and Peacebuilding (Fortress Press, 2019); A
Theology and Praxis of Gender Equality (Bangalore: Dharmaram
Publications, 2019); Global Justice, Christology and Christian
