Gannon University | Admission Requirements

GU Undergraduate Requirements

Achieve a minimum SAT score of 1170 or higher in critical reading and math or ACT composite score of 26 or higher
Achieve a minimum cumulative high school GPA of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale
Obtain a class rank in the top 25%
Provide evidence of scholarly, professional and personal potential and a desire to become an osteopathic physician
Submit a personal statement or essay.
Successfully complete an interview with LECOM
Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
Complete a signed release form (provided after acceptance granted)

LECOM Medical School Requirements

Students will be provided with a complete electronic copy of all requirements for successful completion of the “4+4” Early Acceptance Program with LECOM upon admission to the program. A sample of entry requirements to Phase II include following:

Achieve a minimum overall GPA of 3.4 or higher
Achieve a minimum science GPA of 3.2 or higher
Achieve a minimum combined MCAT score of 25 or higher with a minimum of a score of seven (7) in any given section of the exam
Apply to LECOM through AACOMAS by November 15th of the year preceding the year the student plans to matriculate at LECOM and all related application materials
Successfully complete a criminal background check
Students admitted to this program cannot apply to any other medical schools

LECOM Early Acceptance Pre-Medical Program Admissions Process

Students should apply early! Students applying to one of these programs are encouraged to apply by the November 1st deadline. The first 10 competitive, eligible, and complete applications will be guaranteed acceptance. Additional students may be considered on an individual basis and at the discretion of LECOM. Full admission will not be granted until all requirements listed below have been satisfied. Once offered acceptance, students will be given two weeks to pay the enrollment deposit to reserve their space in the program. If the deadline passes without a deposit, the space will be offered to another student.

Students who wish to be considered for the LECOM affiliation program with Gannon University must:

Complete the online enrollment form available on the LECOM website (www.lecom.edu; search for “Undergraduate Affiliates”),
List Gannon University as one of the top three schools you are interested in attending on the LECOM enrollment form,
Successfully complete an interview with LECOM and
Successfully apply to and be admitted to Gannon University’s LECOM Early Acceptance Medical Programs.
