Internships and Work Programs

  • Chemistry majors at Gannon are frequently offered jobs from technical companies in the Erie area. These are typically part time jobs ranging from 10 to 20 hours per week. During summers, chemistry majors qualify for jobs in companies that need technical workers to help cover work hours lost by employees taking vacations. Students qualify for jobs as research assistants in large companies, large universities or government laboratories.

    The Chemistry Department hires work study students who help to prepare laboratories and provide general administrative support to the Department. Work study students typically work 10 hours per week.
