Students are encouraged to shadow a podiatrist to learn more about podiatric medicine. The Center for Experiential Education at Gannon University can help students obtain shadowing, mentoring or internship opportunities with a podiatrist in Erie, Pennsylvania or near your hometown.
Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine offers a competitive Pre-Professional Internship Program. This is a one-week experience to learn more about the many facets of a career in Podiatric Medicine. Gannon University students have taken advantage of this opportunity to prepare for application to Podiatry Schools.
Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine offers a three day winter or eight day summer competitive Internship Program for pre-podiatry students interested in obtaining experience through shadowing a Podiatrist and learning more about career opportunities as a Podiatrist.
