Program goals and Objectives
The ECE Department‘s program is designed to guide the student to achieve technical competency, effective communication and leadership skills on projects, multi-disciplinary teams, and in society. To meet these goals, the ECE Program strongly integrates with the Core of Discovery and emphasizes holistic student development in accord with the mission of Gannon University. This is reflected in the program educational objectives listed below:
PEO 1. Demonstrate professional ethics and personal values in daily and professional life that exercise informed literary and aesthetic judgments by leveraging diverse cultures and societies
PEO 2. Demonstrate teamwork and leadership qualities and/or attainment of leadership roles in a global work environment
PEO 3. Demonstrate technical competency in applying comprehensive engineering knowledge throughout their chosen profession
PEO 4. Demonstrate passion for life-long learning through engaging in the rapidly changing and emerging areas of technology, and/or continued professional development
To achieve these objectives, the ECE department maintains a modern curriculum, state-of-the-art laboratories and teaching techniques, a well-qualified faculty, and a strong advising system.
