• Program goals and Objectives

    The ECE Department‘s programs are designed to guide the student to acquire technical competency, effective communication and leadership skills , ability to work well in multi-disciplinary teams, and also in society. To achieve these goals, the ECE programs  integrate their curricula with the Core of Discovery and emphasize holistic student development in accord with the Mission of Gannon University. More specifically the program educational objectives (PEOs) are as listed below:

    PEO 1. Demonstrate professional ethics and personal values in daily and professional life that exercise informed literary and aesthetic judgments by leveraging diverse cultures and societies

    PEO 2. Demonstrate teamwork and leadership qualities and/or attainment of leadership roles in a global work environment

    PEO 3. Demonstrate technical competency in applying comprehensive engineering knowledge throughout their chosen profession

    PEO 4. Demonstrate passion for life-long learning through engaging in the rapidly changing and emerging areas of technology, and/or continued professional development

    To achieve these objectives, the ECE department maintains a modern curriculum, state-of-the-art laboratories and teaching techniques, a highly-qualified faculty and an effective student-advising system.
