Research

  • At Gannon University, undergraduate research plays a central role in the learning experience. Upper level chemistry students are required to participate in independent research study under the guidance of a faculty member, and seniors must complete at least one credit of undergraduate research in each of two successive semesters. The Chemistry Department is committed to mentoring undergraduate research and to offering meaningful collaborative research experiences that will prepare students for the rigors of graduate school or a career in industry. At Gannon, research conducted by faculty members often results in publications with students as co-authors, and our undergraduates frequently present the results of their work at local and national conferences.
